In celebration of the 95th birthday of veteran musician Tudor Kadanarachchi, the beloved father of our patron lions, Sinha Sagarika Jayaratne and Sinha Vipul Jayaratne, and his 75th year of singing, the Galle Legends Lions Club has decided to publish a biography of Mr. Tudor Kadanarachchi for the "Soduru Sihinayakiki Ra" concert to be held at the Queensbury Hotel, Malabe on Friday, March 13 at 6.30 pm. It will be written by me and 300 copies will be printed and distributed to the participants. The cost of the book is as follows. Lions Club of Galupura Central has identified the need to encourage kids to read books to develop their growth mind set. Pelessa Siri Wimalasiri School is under Lions Siyak Sipsal school which we supported for the past 5 years. The school was about close down due to poor number of kids. Our influence and support made the school to grow from 4 students to 61 students in Grade 1 to Grade 5 and 20 in the pre School. We donated two Library cupboards and books to match the need for Grade 1 to Grade 5.
