Lion Mahesh Amarasiri,MAF a member of the Board of Directors of the Galle Diamond Lions Club, acted as the project chairman of this program, and an amount of Rs. 115000.00 was spent on the relevant project. Lion Shantha,MAF the chairman of the Galle Diamond Lions Club, also participated in this event. |

A public awareness programme on Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR was conducted on 14 February 2026 in the evening at the Galle Fort Ramparts, under the leadership of Lion Indira Liyanage, Director of the Galle Akmeemana Centennial Lions Club. The programme was organized with the support of the Sri Lanka Resuscitation Council (SLRC), the College of Anaesthesiologists and Intensivists of Sri Lanka, and the RESUS Society of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ruhuna. Local and foreign visitors to Galle Fort had the opportunity to gain a wealth of very important life-saving knowledge through this programme. |
