The Lions Club of Galle carried out a humanitarian project to support people affected by the recent flood disaster in Hambantota. Relief efforts focused on distributing lunch packs and dry rations among the affected families, ensuring immediate food security during this difficult time.
The project was conducted with active participation of Lions members, reflecting the club’s commitment to serving communities in times of crisis. The total value of the project was LKR 150,000, funded and organized by the club.
Outcome:
This initiative provided essential relief to flood-affected families, helping them overcome immediate challenges and reinforcing the Lions’ role as a trusted partner in disaster response. The project demonstrated compassion, solidarity, and the spirit of Lionism in action.
