Lions Club of Galupura Central has identified the need to encourage kids to read books to develop their growth mind set. Pelessa Siri Wimalasiri School is under Lions Siyak Sipsal school which we supported for the past 5 years. The school was about close down due to poor number of kids. Our influence and support made the school to grow from 4 students to 61 students in Grade 1 to Grade 5 and 20 in the pre School. We donated two Library cupboards and books to match the need for Grade 1 to Grade 5. Donors are as follows Lion Dr Gamini donated Rs 75,000 PDG Lion Dr Athula Hikkaduwa and Lion Dr Damayanthi - Rs 25,000 Lion Dr Alahakoon - Rs 5000 Lion Chandrani Ponnamperuma - Rs 6000 Lion Chamathka Gajanayeke - Rs 10000
