Description

On October 17, 2025, in commemoration of International Elders’ Day, a special community service project was organized by the Galle Akmeemana Centennial Lions Club at the Wijitha Hela Elderly Home. As part of this initiative, dinner was provided to all the elderly residents, and a much-needed electric fan was donated to the facility. In addition, monetary donations were given to each of the elderly individuals to support their daily needs and wellbeing. The project was chaired by Lion Chithra Bamunusinghe MAF, a member of the Women's Committee and Director of the Galle Akmeemana Centennial Lions Club. Several distinguished guests attended this event, including: Lion Prasad Kohomban PMJF, PMAF, Cabinet Secretary Lion Kapila Kohombange MAF, Regional Chairperson Lion Sandhya Pathiranawasam MAF, District Coordinator – LCI, and President of the Galle Akmeemana Centennial Lions Club Lion Iraj Gunasekara MAF, Club Treasurer Lion Nirosha Nilmini Perera
