Project Description
The Lions Club of Galle Fort, in collaboration with the Lions Club of Galle and Lions Club of Unawatuna, successfully organized a Savings Book Giving Project on 19th July 2025 at the Galle Buddhist Center, Kaluwella, Galle. This initiative aimed to promote financial literacy and savings habits among school children from low-income families.
As part of the project, 100 students were provided with bank savings passbooks, each preloaded with LKR 1,000, enabling the children to start their personal savings journey. The funds for this initiative were generously sponsored by PIP Mahendra Amarasuriya, reflecting a strong commitment to youth development and community support.
