To commemorate the 1st Anniversary of the Leo Club of Galle Fort, the Lions Club of Galle Fort, together with the Leo Club of Galle Fort, organized a meaningful environmental service project titled “The Green Promise” on 14th December 2025 at Kathaluwa Central College. As part of this initiative, 100 plants were donated and planted within the school’s Science Garden, contributing to the enhancement of the school environment while promoting environmental sustainability and awareness among students. This project aimed to instill a sense of responsibility towards nature in young minds by encouraging students to actively participate in environmental conservation. The Science Garden will serve as a living educational resource, enabling students to learn about biodiversity, ecology, and the importance of protecting the environment.
