The Lions Club of Galle Fort successfully organized a meaningful community service project on 26th February 2026 at 4.00 p.m. at the Divisional Secretariat Office, Habaraduwa, with the objective of supporting low-income families facing economic hardships.
Under this initiative, 25 dry ration packs containing essential daily food items were distributed to 25 deserving families identified from low-income communities in the area. Each pack, valued at approximately LKR 5,000/-, included staple food items and other essential goods required for day-to-day living, thereby providing immediate relief and support to the beneficiaries.
This project was fully sponsored by Zone Chairman Lion Nuwan Prasanna Balage in celebration of his birthday, demonstrating a commendable spirit of generosity and personal commitment to community welfare.
