In response to the Ditwa Disaster, the Lions Club of Galle Fort, in collaboration with the Lions Club of Karapitiya, organized a humanitarian relief program on 30th November 2025 to support affected communities.
Understanding the urgent needs of families impacted by the disaster, the project focused on distributing essential relief items including dry food rations, drinking water, sanitary items, and other basic necessities. These supplies were carefully prepared to help families cope with immediate hardships and maintain basic living conditions during the difficult period.
The total value of the donations exceeded LKR 200,000/-, reflecting the strong commitment and compassion of both clubs in responding promptly to community needs during times of crisis.
