The Tree Planting Project was organized by the Lions Club of Galle Karapitiya on 5th October 2025 at Pitadeniya Maha Vidyalaya in celebration of the Sinha Yathra District Event, with the objective of promoting environmental sustainability and increasing green cover. The project was conducted with the participation of Second Vice District Governor Lion Ranjith Abeysundara, Region 1 Chairperson Lion Ravindra Prasad, and club members including Lion Lakma and Lion Kusal. During the program, a number of trees were planted within the school premises, contributing to environmental conservation and creating awareness among students on the importance of protecting nature.
