The Lions District D8 successfully organized the Peace Poster Contest as part of its initiative to promote peace, creativity, and awareness among school children. As part of this project, we collected peace posters from three schools: Horewela Vidyalaya, Walgammulla Vidyalaya, and Modarawana Maha Vidyalaya.
Students from these schools actively participated by creating meaningful and creative posters based on the theme of peace. After collecting all the entries, a careful selection process was carried out to choose the best posters. The selected students were recognized and awarded presents in appreciation of their creativity and effort.
Following the selection at the local level, the best posters were forwarded to Galle for further evaluation at the district level. We are proud to announce that one of the submitted posters was selected as a winning entry. The winning poster was created by student A. Oshalitha Kavinda from Horewela Vidyalaya.
