The Lions Club of Embilipitiya Black Lions organized a Mega Health Clinic to commemorate its 1st Anniversary with the participation of Chief Guest District Governor Lion Jagath Weerasinghe PMJF PMAF, four Key Cabinet Officers, and the Region Chairperson. Highlighting the collaborative nature of the mission, District Governor Lion Jagath Weerasinghe also donated a stock of essential medicines to the club for this project.
The clinic provided comprehensive medical services to 1,129 beneficiaries, including OPD check-ups, diabetes care, blood sugar testing, and specialized screenings for cholesterol and blood pressure. A "Suwanari" clinic focused on maternal wellness and breast cancer awareness was also conducted. A major highlight was the Vision Project, where 450 free eyeglasses were distributed following detailed exams.
