Under the guidance and request of District Governor Lion Jagath Weerasinghe, a special relief program was organized to support people affected by the recent cyclone in the Gampola area. As part of this initiative, 500 relief parcels were distributed among the affected families. Each parcel contained dry rations and other essential items necessary for daily living, ensuring that recipients had access to basic food supplies and urgent necessities during this difficult period. This humanitarian effort was made possible with the valuable support of the Walasmulla Trade Association, which assisted greatly in collecting and organizing the required items for distribution. Their contribution played a vital role in the success of this project. The program reflects a strong spirit of cooperation and compassion, aiming to provide timely assistance and bring relief to those impacted by the disaster.
