The Lions Club of Embilipitiya Black Lions successfully conducted a unique "Village to Village" mission in Katagalara, integrated with a mega medical camp to serve a massive gathering of villagers. This project specifically focused on uplifting the self-esteem and personal hygiene of the community through professional grooming and beauty care.
A professional team of 70 beauticians and barbers volunteered their services throughout the day. We provided comprehensive services including haircuts, beard grooming using fresh blades and aftershaves, facials, cleanups, and eyebrow shaping entirely free of charge. For many village women, this was a life-changing experience, as it was their first time receiving professional beauty treatments like facials. This initiative significantly boosted their confidence and was deeply appreciated by the community.
The project also identified youth interested in the industry and directed them toward vocational beauty culture courses for future employment. T
