We identified an underprivileged father of three in Embilipitiya who earns a living by selling lottery tickets despite suffering from a chronic liver disease. His vision was severely impaired, and he was using a broken pair of reading glasses held together by a rubber band, making it nearly impossible to read lottery numbers. Recognizing his struggle, Lion Shamil Chamika and Lion Chandima Sanjeewani personally funded the cost of a professional eye examination and a new pair of custom-made eyeglasses. The order was placed on January 19, 2026, and officially handed over on February 6, 2026. This intervention has restored his sight and secured his daily livelihood, allowing him to support his family with dignity. (This project has been reported in the Lion Portal.
