Location: Gam Udawa Stadium premises, new Town,Embilipitiya
Phase I of a dedicated restoration mission was launched to reclaim the neglected children's playground at Gam Udawa Stadium. The park had become unusable due to heavy overgrowth and lack of maintenance. Our team, supported by professional laborers and grass-cutting machinery, cleared the entire area of weeds and debris over a 6-hour intensive session. 08 Lions and family members participated in the cleanup and site preparation. This initial phase has successfully prepared the ground for Phase II, which will focus on repairing equipment and infrastructure. This project ensures a safe and healthy recreational space for over 150 local children, fostering community well-being. Fully funded by Lion Hiranga Thalpavila.
