In a life-changing intervention, we constructed a fully equipped permanent house for a destitute family of five in Kiula-Ara. The family, including a chronically ill child, previously lived in a mud hut that was repeatedly destroyed by wild elephants, leaving them in constant danger. Over a period of three months, we built a secure home featuring piped water, electricity, modern sanitation, and basic furniture. The project transformed their lives from fear and poverty to safety and dignity. This massive humanitarian effort was personally funded by Project Chairman Lion Nihal Wijesiri, ensuring a sustainable and secure future for this vulnerable family.
