Lions club of Galupura Central started a project 'CEARE' screening vision of young kids in most needy schools. We have picked three schools in Galle and the first school was Kithulampitia Ananda where many kids from 'SOS' children's' village and kids who are under probation is attending. Galle MOH helped us the first screening of vision of all children in school. The school got over 500 students. Out of 500 they identified 13 students who need correction lenses.
In July we got the most needed spectacle done for a boy student who had multiple issues and partially blind on one eye.
11 spectacles were done in August and the remaining will be completed in September.
