A tree planting campaign was held on 18th October 2025 at 0900 hrs at Riva Park, Holuwagoda, Galle under the Clean Sri Lanka Program as per the vision of Governor of 306 D8 Lions district. This program was organized by the Galle Diamond Lions club with the participation of children and parents in the area with the aim of creating a child mind that loves the environment. A project report prepared on environmental conservation and garden beautification was also presented to the park manager. Steps were taken to plant 52 Flower saplings.
The Chairman of the Bope Poddala Pradeshiya Sabha, Government officials and the president & members of the Galle Diamond were participated in this program.
Lion Yashoda Hirimuthugoda, of the Diamond Lions Club, served as the Chairman of this project.
