Description

A tree planting project under the global Environment project and Clean Sri Lanka program as envisioned by the Governor of 306 D8 Lion District was conducted by the Galle Diamond Lions Club at the Galle, Holuwagoda River Park on 18th October 2025. Under the patronage of Governor, steps were taken to plant 80 saplings. The program, which lasted from 3.00 pm to 4.30 pm, was attended by Governor Lion Jagath Weerasinghe MJF,MAF,JP, 2nd Vice Governor Lion Ranjith Abeysundara, MAF,AAL,LLB,ALLI, GET Coordinator Lion Thushantha Nanayakkara, Community Development and Environment Coordinator Lion Dr. Chathura Welivitiya, Chairperson of the Bope Poddala Pradeshiya Sabha Mrs. Lalani Jayamini, the Manager of River Park as well as government officials of the area.
