According to a concept of the Governor of 306 D8, a book and essential equipment distribution ceremony for school children under the program "THANAMU PASAL DARUWANTA HETA DINAK" was held by the Galle Diamond Lions Club on 15th August 2025 at the Galle District Secretariat Auditorium.
Among the children who came to establish the District Children's Council on that day, 27 students who passed the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination and Advanced Level Examinations were awarded prizes.
Lion Sanath Geetha Shantha, president of Galle Diamond Lions Club acted as the project chairperson.
